Who Needs Imperial Care Centre Ltd.?

Mrs. Smith is an elderly lady who has just experienced a stroke. Her son and daughter are both married with children and hold responsible jobs. They are devastated with their mother's stroke and are aware of the responsibility added to their lives. The doctor appointments, therapy appointments and additional time needed are almost impossible with their already busy lives. As a member of Imperial Care Centre Ltd., we would arrive at the requested time, help dress her if necessary, safely assist her to our van and make her comfortable in her surroundings. Any future pre-arranged appointments would be booked to ensure availability.

2. Help Needed

Mr. and Mrs. Davis have lived together in a seniors' facility for the past four years. Recently Mr. Davis has had back surgery and is very uncomfortable. He is a very large man who needs help to sit up and be mobile. Other forms of transportation are very uncomfortable and long trips to "drop others off" are very painful. Our friendly attendant would show up when booked and assist Mrs. Davis in preparing Mr. Davis for travel. If necessary, the driver would help by providing our own wheelchair to take Mr. Davis to the van. The driver would go where asked and spend time as the couple chooses; be it doctors' appointments, shopping, to pick up prescriptions or just have coffee and drive.

3. The Gift

Grandma Jenkins is in a seniors' facility. She has three children and six grandchildren who all love her very much. Her children are aware of her loneliness in the seniors' facility and would like to do more for her. Their time is taken up almost exclusively with their own children who are involved in sports and school activities. They also need time for holidays. They purchase a membership with Imperial Care Centre Ltd. for their mother and a Gift Certificate purchased by their entire family. It is a Gift of Freedom - set at any dollar value and would allow her and a friend to go anywhere they choose and have the confidence and comfort to go shopping, out for lunch, or visit other friends; all with the confidence of knowing someone else is with them at all times.

Her children are relaxed knowing an experienced attendant is with her and will make sure that she is returned safely. Grandma is happy as she has had an active and wonderful afternoon with her friend to do as she wishes without inconveniencing her children and a little proud as our van drives up to pick up her and her friend for a personal afternoon.

4. Married Couple

Frank and Mary just celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversay and are a very active and sociable couple who still live in their own house. They love to be out an about, visiting friends, going for dinner, etc. In the past, Frank enjoyed driving his "Olds" anywhere they went, but recently his reflexes aren't the same.He panics in heavy traffic and fast cars scare him. He's lost his confidence on slippery roads and in bad weather. It would kill him to sell his car or give up the right to drive. The solution would be... a membership with Imperial Care Centre Ltd. for those days when important appointments are necessary and weather is bad. We would pick up Frank or Mary in a warm vehicle and arrive at the front door of our destination, saving the "Olds" for its outings in better weather and under less stress.
