An Association requiring Annual Membership

Our membership form will give us our clients' vital information including any medical history or conditions they may have, as well as billing information and frequency of use.

This is how it will work:

After a call to our company someone will visit and enroll or register with us. When needed, the client will state a membership number (entered previously on our computer system) and an estimate of time needing an attendant. They will be sent to care for the caller with "hands on help" (which in most cases will be better and more qualified than their own family and friends). There will be a minimum charge (which, due to the traffic situation in the Calgary area will include fifteen minutes' travel time in every appointment). This trip, destination, time and charge will be printed on a statement and sent out each 60 days. Methods of payment may be VISA, MasterCard, Book of Pre-paid tickets or cash only, prior to service. (Clients will purchase pre-paid hours of use to avoid the handling of money from a senior or disabled individual.

Services and extent of help will be at the discretion of the attendant. Some may just want help from vehicle to doctor's office or for groceries. Others may want to talk or go for tea/coffee or to a movie, etc. We reserve the right to refuse or decline calls which we are not comfortable with or properly trained for.

People requiring this service:

• Children of seniors - not being able to find the time to interrupt their daily schedule to take their parents around.
• Seniors not wanting to inconvenience others who still feel somewhat independent.
• Friends & Relatives can buy certificates for time to be used for their senior or disabled loved ones.

  Not comfortable with assisting them if they have medical problems.

This service is not for everyone as it is a "Pay per use service". It is not subsidized by the Government of Alberta.

Negative Alternative Options are:

	City Cabs	- Not personal -Will not be "hands on" for help (needed by many) -Long waits if busy, or bad weather
	Group Bus	- Inexpensive but long waits and not directed to individual needs and destinations.
	Friends, Relatives and Volunteers	- Not usually available on call - Not comfortable handling someone sick or disabled - Not always able to have time off from their own lives when you depend on them.
